How to Schedule an Appointment

Informed consent is an important part of therapy, and that starts with the process of scheduling an appointment. Here's some information to help orient you to the process of becoming a new patient.

Step 1 | Reaching Out

Contact me via email or Psychology Today. I currently have limited availability and I will respond if I have an opening (I do not have any weekend appointments available). I am only taking new patients for in person appointments.

Step 2 | Cost of Appointments

I accept CDPHP, Aetna, and MVP insurance plans. If you don't have one of those plans, the cost per session is $175 and I can provide you with a superbill (basically a receipt) that you can then submit to your insurance company for out-of-netw0rk benefits.

If you have a CDPHP, Aetna, or MVP plan, I'll contact your insurance company to check your benefits. I do this so there are as few surprises as possible when it comes to billing and utilizing insurance. If any information appears inaccurate or doesn’t sound 100% correct, I encourage you to call your insurance company to check your benefits.

Step 3 | Scheduling, Paperwork, and Payment

We can discuss potential appointment times via email. I allow for one reschedule of the first appointment, if necessary, but because my schedule is limited I will offer referrals to other providers if additional rescheduling is required.

My paperwork will be sent via SimplePractice, my HIPAA-compliant electronic health record. All paperwork must be filled out at least 24-hours before the first appointment. I also require a form of payment on file and will bill you for our appointment after the first session.

Step 4 | Our First Appointment

I'll send you directions to my office via email before our first appointment. I look forward to meeting you!
