Psychological Assessment

I specialize in neuroaffirming, evidence-based assessment for adults (18+). A full psychological evaluation can help you understand how your brain works and what types of environments, coping strategies, and communication strategies will work best for the way your brain works. Neuroaffirming assessment is a compassionate, validating, and accepting approach to obtaining the same information a traditional psychological assessment (i.e., diagnosis and treatment recommendations).

What does a "psychological assessment" mean?

The length of a psychological assessment depends on the presenting concern.

  • Intake interview (60-90 minutes)

  • Psychological testing (each test can take anywhere from ~10 minutes to 60 minutes; generally several are given)

  • Feedback session (60 minutes)

I evaluate the following diagnoses/neurotypes:

  • complex trauma

  • ADHD

  • autism

  • depressive disorders (major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, etc.)

  • anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobia, etc.)

  • mood disorders (bipolar disorders I & II, cyclothymia, etc.)

  • OCD and related disorders (OCD, excoriation disorder, trichotillomania, etc.)

  • personality disorders (borderline personality disorder, avoidant personality disorder, etc.)
